SHONEY'S BREAKFAST BUFFET FEATURES FLAVORED PANCAKES FOR LIMITED TIME

Nashville, Tenn., (July. 23, 2007) – Starting this month, there's a special treat in store on Shoney's famous Breakfast Buffet as the company introduces Flavored Pancakes.

This new breakfast buffet feature includes blueberry, apple spice and buttermilk pancakes along with a variety of delicious toppings: strawberry, blueberry, apple cinnamon and caramel pecan. Flavored Pancakes are available for now through Sept. 30. Starting around $(___) per person, the Breakfast Buffet also includes Shoney's traditional breakfast favorites such as scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, cinnamon French toast, potatoes, seasonal fruits and fresh baked biscuits.

According to Dan Bigelow, Shoney's vice president of marketing, the company test marketed the flavored pancakes in 26 different restaurants for eight weeks and guest reaction was overwhelmingly favorable. Promotional support for flavored pancakes includes new television, radio and newspaper advertising, as well as custom paper placements, posters and ceiling danglers.

Based in Nashville, Tenn., Shoney's owns, operates and franchises 282 restaurants in 18 states. Each restaurant is open seven days a week.
